Racing at Bangor on Dee - Saturday 26th November 2011

Racing at Bangor on Dee – Saturday 26th November

Bangor on Dee will be racing this Saturday, 26th November, with a seven race card.

Entries for the fixture are strong and exceed 140.  Donald McCain Jnr, Alan King, Jonjo O’Neill, Nicky Henderson and Paul Nicholls are just some of the top trainers with potential runners.

The feature race of the day, The 12.10 Malise Nicolson Bright Future Novices Steeple Chase sees the Donald McCain trained Peddlers Cross looking for another victory at Bangor, but is up against the Nicky Henderson trained Minella Class amongst others.  The race is in memory of Major Malise Nicolson, who was Chairman of Bangor on Dee for many years and was instrumental in building the first brick building at the course in 1900.

The Going for Saturday is currently Good to Soft.

Both the Hennessey Gold Cup at Newbury and the StanJames.com Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle will be shown on the big screen.

The first race is at 12.10pm and last at 3.35pm, with gates opening at 10.30 am.  There will be a FREE bus from Wrexham General Station to the racecourse at 10.40 am, returning at 4.05 pm.

Course tickets are available from £7, and Paddock tickets from £17 in advance. There is limited availability in the Wynnstay and Paddock Restaurants.
