Betting bars and catering

There are numerous bars, catering services and betting facilities in all areas of the Racecourse. Personal stocks of food and drink, including alcohol, are not permitted in the Paddock enclosure and are only permitted in the Course Enclosure. In the Paddock enclosure, the consumption of all drink, including alcohol, is restricted to designated areas.

Booking deadlines

Please note: Savings can be made on the cost of tickets if tickets are pre-booked. However requests for pre booked badges need to be with the racecourse at least 5 working days before the required race meeting to guarantee the delivery of badges in advance of race meetings.

Children

Accompanied children below the age of 16 are admitted FREE to all enclosures.

Coach Parties

Parking for coaches is available in the designated Coach Park. Coaches are unable to park in any other car park other than the coach park area.

Complimentary Bus Service

Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse operates a complimentary bus service from Wrexham General Station. Priority will be given to rail passengers so please keep your ticket as proof of travel. The bus service will leave from outside the station 90 minutes before the start of the first race on each race meeting. The bus will leave from the coach park at Bangor-on-Dee, 20 minutes after the last race on each meeting for the return journey to the station.

Disabled Racegoers

At Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse we pride ourselves in providing modern facilities for all our racegoers. With this in mind, we are pleased to highlight our disabled policy and facilities for 2010. Limited hard-standing parking is available in the Bangor-on-Dee car park, facilitating easy access to the turnstiles. Alternatively, there are designated disabled car parking areas in all car parks.

The Racecourse is single storey, making all public areas easily accessible to disabled racegoers. A raised viewing platform is provided in the Paddock enclosure. Disabled amenities are available in all areas and enclosures of the racecourse. Aide dogs are welcome. Disabled racegoers will be charged the standard ticket price, but if they are accompanied by a carer, the carer may enter designated areas free of charge.

Dogs

Dogs (except aide dogs) are not allowed into the Paddock Enclosure on racedays. Dogs are allowed in the Course Enclosure as long as they are kept on a lead at all times.

Dress Code

There is no official dress code at Bangor-on-Dee although we suggest smart casual.

First Aid

The First Aid post is situated in the Paddock enclosure at the back of the secretary's office.

Helicopters

Helicopter landing facilities are only available by prior arrangement with Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse. Please telephone 01978 782 081.

Lost or stolen Badges or Tickets

Unfortunately, lost or stolen badges or tickets cannot be replaced. Please ensure your badge / ticket is kept safe at all times. Please refer to our terms and conditions.

Picnics

Families are welcome to bring picnics to the Course Enclosure during race meetings.

Transfer & Upgrades

It is possible to upgrade from the Course Enclosure to the Paddock Enclosure on Racedays. This can be achieved via the relevant turnstiles in the Course Enclosure.
