In celebration of style and elegance, Bangor-on-Dee Ladies Day played host to the Best Dressed Lady competition with fantastic prizes courtesy Hallmark Hotel Llyndir Hall.
A packed crowd of almost 4000 racegoers attended the annual Ladies Day fixture and there were plenty of ladies who were dressed to impress and take part. A shortlist of ten ladies were selected from 150 entrants and the winning trio were crowned in the Parade Ring between the fifth and sixth race.
Camilla Davies was named the Best Dressed Lady, wearing a beautiful white tailored coat over a patterned A-line dress with coordinating heels and hat from Ted Baker. Camilla stated that she takes her style inspiration from Royal Ascot. The stylish racegoer received a luxurious overnight stay for two courtesy of Hallmark Hotel Llyndir Hall, allowing them to enjoy the use of the sumptuous, newly refurbished deluxe bedrooms. A delicious dinner in the Garden Restaurant followed by an all-you-can-eat buffet style breakfast the next morning. With full use of leisure facilities including pool, sauna and fully equipped gym. Including the opportunity to relax in our five acres of landscaped gardens, surrounded by the peaceful Welsh countryside. Camilla was commended for her look elegant look by all on the judging panel.
The second runner-up in the competition, Bernie Dutton, also sporting a Ted Baker floral dress with navy hat received a Lunch for two in the Wynnstay Restaurant at Bangor-On-Dee on a raceday of choice in 2017, a bottle of champagne and a bouquet of flowers.
The afternoon’s third finalist, Scarlette Hudson opted for a natural look with a white floral dress from monsoon and flat ballet shoes. Scarlette was presented with a bottle of champagne and a bouquet of flowers.
Prizes were coordinated by Hallmark Hotel Llyndir Hall and Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse and presented by campaign jockey, Richard Johnson.
The next fixture at Bangor-on-Dee is Family Evening on Wednesday 16 August, another excellent excuse to get together with friends and family, and enjoy a wealth of fun free activities on the Open Course.
