Glyndwr University students go FREE!

Good news for local students, Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse will once again be offering Glyndwr University students FREE Paddock Enclosure access* during any fixture in the 2019 racing season. The standard cost for admission within this enclosure is £20 per person on the gate representing a substantial benefit to the students. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students with an official Glyndwr University student card are simply instructed to show their card at the gate. 

A day's racing at Bangor-on-Dee is great fun, whether you're part of a group or looking to try something new. The University and the Racecourse have a long-standing relationship, with the Racecourse keen to attract new racegoers to witness the thrill of jump racing all year round. And with 14 fixtures a year to be enjoyed, students are sure to find a race date within the calendar that fits in line with their studies!

General Manager Jeannie Chantler said, “Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is pleased to be able to facilitate the students. We hope that the offering of free admission to our local students will continue to generate positive experiences amongst our young visitors and in a wider context, further promote interest in the sport.”

Located just 11 miles from the University and 20 minutes in a car, the racecourse is easily accessible and on a bus route. Rail passengers arriving at Wrexham General station can also take advantage of free transport via the complimentary bus^.

Additional tickets for perspective racegoers who do not hold a Wrexham Glyndwr University student card start from just £7 per person, Kids are admitted completely free**.

*To gain access students should show a valid Wrexham Glyndwr or NUS student card at the gate and access the Paddock Enclosure free of charge.

** Children 17 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
