Fabulous Fashions Rewarded at Ladies Day in Partnership with Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet

Published on 10 June 2024

Fabulous fashions were rewarded with fantastic prizes at one of our most popular racedays of the year, Ladies Day in partnership with Cheshire Oaks.

Congratulations to Jane, Sterling and Claire who finished in the top 3 for Best Dressed, taking home Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet gift cards worth £500, £250 and £100 respectively, plus a racecourse hospitality package, a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of champagne.

On the track, there were plenty of stylish performances, too!

Donald McCain and Brian Hughes marked the card with their customary winner in the first, as 1/3 Fav Not Now Nathaniel raced clear by 9 1/2 lengths in the opener.

Charlie Longsdon’s Almazhar Garde then won the second under the ride of Paul O’Brien. Maxcel went 7 lengths clear to record a winner for Mel Rowley and jockey Charlie Deutsch in the third, while Henry Brooke rode Breizh River to the feature of the afternoon, the Brooke Rankin Ladies Day Novices’ Handicap Steeple Chase..

The Jennie Candlish-trained Regal and Royal pipped favourite Clararose to win the fifth race of the afternoon, while Fancy Stuff claimed the sixth for Sean Bowen and Tom Grettan.

The biggest priced winner on the card came in the last, where 28/1 shot Sayva was given a great ride by Richie McLernon in the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet Open National Hunt Flat Race.

A big thank-you to our partners and sponsors – Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, Castle Mews Windows, Golden Sunset Holidays, Brooke Rankin & Co, RW Hough & Sons Ltd, Mike and Jill Medcalf and Charles Owen – for supporting the day’s racing, and to all our racegoers who turned out for such a glamourous occasion at the racecourse.
