Fringill Dike claims feature race on Wrexham Day in partnership with Wrexham Lager

Published on 20 May 2024

The Jedd O’Keefe-trained Fringill Dike was the big winner at Bangor-on-Dee for Wrexham Day in partnership with Wrexham Lager.

An 8/1 winner on the course, the seven-year-old won the Wrexham Lager Celebrates Wrexham AFC Promotion Handicap Chase by 6 and 1/2 lengths under a great ride from Charlie Hammond.

Wrexham Lager sponsored three races on the card, with the Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero trained Crystal Glance winning the Wrexham Lager Proudly Back In Cans ‘National Hunt’ Maiden Hurdle Race, and Commanding View claiming the Wrexham Lager Draught at Fat Boar Handicap Hurdle for jockey Charlie Deutsch and trainer Mel Rowley.

A celebration of everything great about Wrexham, the racecourse welcomed Choirs for Good to perform for guests prior to racing, who also held a charity collection for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Our thanks go to our title sponsors Wrexham Lager and all those who came out to enjoy another fantastic raceday with us.

Make sure you join us for more thrilling racing at our next fixture on Tuesday 28 May, when we host a Family Fun Evening, featuring an array of activities out on the Open Course for children.

Tickets currently start from £7 and kids aged 17 and under go FREE!

We hope to see you then.
