Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse recorded its highest attendance since August 2009 for the fun-filled Wrexham Lager Wrexham Family Day on Saturday 20 May.
The popular event, which featured a host of free activities for children, welcomed more than 6,000 guests in the sunshine to the only racecourse in North Wales.
It proved to be an action-packed day both on and off the track, with three-time champion jump jockey Brian Hughes riding a treble for trainer Donald McCain on Waspy, Hidalgo De L’Isle and Heartbreak Kid.
Patrick Chesters, General Manager at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse, said:
“It was great to see such a fantastic turnout for the Wrexham Lager Wrexham Family Day. We continually strive to enhance the raceday experience for all those visiting Bangor-on-Dee and would like to thank everybody who came out to enjoy the occasion with us.
“We now look forward to welcoming guests back to the racecourse for our Summer Saturday fixture on 10 June.”
