ROAD CLOSURE IN BANGOR ON DEE VILLAGE FROM A525 – NO ACCESS TO RACECOURSE.
Alternative is when travelling east from Whitchurch on the A525 about 4 miles out turn left onto the A539 for Hanmer. Continue on for approximately 5 miles to Overton and on the left-hand bend leaving the village turn right onto the B5069 for Bangor on Dee. The racecourse is 1 mile down this road.
If approaching on the A483 leave at the junction 1 signed for Whitchurch on the A539 and follow the black and yellow AA signs to the racecourse which brings you in to access from Overton.
CARS ONLY (not lorries or coaches) can still access the village via the old bridge when travelling from Wrexham direction on the A525 – but cannot return this way so will need to return through Overton.
The B5069 from Malpas to Bangor on Dee and the racecourse is unaffected.
